Robin Sax, seen here lounging seductively in the Los Angeles County Courthouse, is really just a down home girl at heart. Rumor has it that her hobbies include country line dancing, decoupage, and taxidermy, and is as comfortable in jeans and Birkenstock sandals as she is in a basic black dress with matching ear muffs and mittens. IF YOU TAKE ANY OF THAT SERIOUSLY, YOU HAVE A LOT TO LEARN ABOUT THIS WEBSITE AND OUR BROADCAST ONOUTLAW RADIO LIVE FROM AN 1876 VIRGINIA CITY STYLE BAR IN MATT ALAN'S BACKYARD EVERY SATURDAY 2PM PACIFIC TIME. .....LISTEN LIVE 24/7 AND SET YOUR ALARM FOR 2PM PACIFIC TIME EVERY SATURDAY FOR TRUE CRIMES!
Robin Sax, former Los Angeles County Prosecutor returns to the Lighten Up Lounge on Saturday 2pm Pacific Time! Robin will bravely endure an hour of Howard Lapides (Burl is in Mexico) -- small price to pay for the opportunity to bring her brilliant career to the attention of our erudite audience!
The Legendary Burl Barer is south of the border doing intensive research on the validity of Marty Sherer's "Donkey in the Basement" true crime story recently shared on Matt Alan's Outlaw Radio -- a story of slick swindle, smooth con-job, and non-existent livestock.
What will happen while he is gone? Will Howard spend 58 minutes browbeating Mark Boyer? Will Howard talk sports and radio? Will Howard have a live in-studio guest?
We will all find out Saturday 2pm PT/5pm ET when Howard hosts True Crime Uncensored on Outlaw RadioUSA~ See this picture of Burl smiling? Good. I stuck it here for no particular reason.
Born in 1949, Carlos Lehder rose from a struggling, small time pot dealer to become a major godfather in the Medellin cartel, the crime syndicate largely responsible for initiating the cocaine epidemic plaguing American society since the late 1970s. Federal U.S. prosecutor Robert Merkle, who successfully prosecuted Lehder in 1988, said that the drug lord was to cocaine transportation what Henry Ford was to automobiles because he was the mastermind behind the transportation network that revolutionized the international drug trade. Lehder's genius was to devise a sophisticated transportation system that allowed the Medellin cartel to transport huge quantities of cocaine from Colombia, the source country, to the U.S., the world's major illegal drug market. By 1987, the DEA and the Colombian government had put Lehder's net wealth at more than $3 billion. A great admirer of both Nazi icon Adolph Hitler and Marxist Che Guevara, Lehder hated the U.S. and viewed cocaine as a kind of atomic bomb that could destroy Uncle Sam from within. Lehder got the nickname, Crazy Charlie, because of his bizarre and often unpredictable behavior.
Once again, Ron Chepesiuk opens up the world of gangsters to his readers in a style that is rich both in historical facts and entertainment. Crazy Charlie is a book not to be missed by either the casual reader or the aficionado of the Prohibition era.

NOW.... Saturday at 2pm Pacific Time...10pm London time ...
RICHARD GODWIN! (yes,no kidding!)
Richard Godwin is a big hit in the UK....and now he's invading America and your brain with the most bizarre, addicting, perverse and delightful novels and pop culture commentary I've encountered in ages. His new book, SAVAGE HIGHWAY, is soon to be the "guilty pleasure" of folks who delight in gloriously twisted material by someone who looks normal -- you know, sort of like my nephew, Tod Goldberg. I think Tod would really enjoy Savage Highway, Richard's latest novel, which is kind of "Twilight Zone meets Hookers from Hell in the Last Cafe before Decapitation" -- (was that a spoiler?)
I love Godwin's style and wit, and I'm very excited to have him on TRUE CRIME UNCENSORED.....not sure of the true crime angle..but we will cook up something.
Richard Godwin is the author of critically acclaimed novels Apostle Rising, Mr. Glamour, One Lost Summer, Noir City, Meaningful Conversations, Confessions Of A Hit Man, and Paranoia And The Destiny Programme.
He is also a published poet and a produced playwright. His stories have been published in numerous paying magazines and over 34 anthologies, among them The Mammoth Book Of Best British Crime and The Mammoth Book Of Best British Mystery, alongside Lee Child, as well as the anthology of his stories, Piquant: Tales Of The Mustard Man. His novels have sold numerous foreign rights.
Richard Godwin was born in London and obtained a BA and MA in English and American Literature from King’s College London, where he also lectured.

Peter Elkind, author of DEATH SHIFT joins us Saturday January 9th 2pm PT/5pm ET
Forget any hot fantasies you have about nurses.....this Texas nurse murdered 40 children, intentionally overdosing them in order to create crises and emergencies that would get her lots of attention -- and eventually earned her life in the slammer....BUT...BUT....well, you'll find out Saturday!
Though doctors struggle to save them, babies are dying in the pediatric ward of a Texas hospital. A secret internal investigation reveals the sickening explanation: Genene Jones, a nurse on the 3-11 shift, is a cold-blooded killer. This true-life thriller reveals how Jones was able to work again--and kill again.
The medical community, fearful of bad publicity and lawsuits, did nothing but release Jones with a good recommendation, after "upgrading the ICU staff." Elkind, a reporter for Texas Monthly , has done a superb job of investigative reporting, delving into Jones's background to make sense of her madness and also to understand the medical community's role in this horrid tragedy!
