On All in the Family Sammy Davis Jr. has to visit the Bunker family to pick up a briefcase that he left in Archie's Taxi. After saying some asinine thing to try to hide his obvious bigotry , Black neighbor Lionel says that Archie may be a little wacky but he would never burn a cross on someone's yard. Without missing a beat, Davis replied, "he might toast a marshmallow or two on one." to which they all breakout high fiving and laughing. That is the vibe that I got from Mr. Reagan.

Not one single Democrat there. That is why I'm involved in politics.

Scary. Very very scary. And sad.
