There is the persistent rumor that Susan Filan and Susan Murphy-Milano were originally in the rock group Vixen.  That is not true at all, or as Fox News would say, "There are many people who insist that the two were in the rock group Vixen, despite their questionable denials of this unconfirmed, possibly factual information."

Dynamic change is something Attorney Filan knows about. In May 2005, she resigned her prominent position as a Connecticut state prosecutor to pursue a career in media after being hired by NBC News and MSNBC to provide exclusive legal analysis at the Michael Jackson trial in Santa Maria, Calif.

She soon became NBC News’ go-to legal analyst, often appearing on “The Today Show,” and other cable news programs. In 2006, she was promoted to MSNBC Senior Legal Analyst. 

She has appeared on every major network, including NBC’s “Today Show,” CBS’s “The Early Show,” ABC’s “Good Morning America,” “Dateline” and “Nightly News with Brian Williams,” MSNBC’s “The Dan Abrams Report,” CNN’s “Larry King Live,” Fox News LIVE, Court TV (now truTV), BBC TV and Radio, and National Public Radio. She has been quoted in printed media around the world. But....the highlight of her career is appearing on True Crime Uncensored!

Chuck Hustmyre  spent 22 years in law enforcement and retired as a special agent with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF). During his career he specialized in violent crime, narcotics, and fugitive investigations. 

Chuck wrote the screenplay for the LIONSGATE movie House of the Rising Sun, starring Dave Bautista, Danny Trejo, Dominic Purcell, and Amy Smart. He adapted the screenplay from his novel of the same title. He also wrote the upcoming novel A Killer Like Me.

Chuck is also the author of the true crime books An Act of Kindness (Penguin/​2007) andKiller with a Badge (Penguin/​2004). 

 

In addition to his fiction, Chuck is also an award-winning journalist, having written nearly 800 newspaper and magazine articles. His work has appeared in a variety of publications, includingThe Washington Post, truTV's Web site CrimeLibrary.com, The Baton Rouge Advocate, 225 magazine, New Orleans Magazine, Psychology Today, and Homeland Security Today.

His article "Blue on Blue: Murder, Madness, and Betrayal in the NOPD" (New Orleans Magazine, February 2005) was selected for the 2006 edition of HarperCollins' annual nonfiction bookBest American Crime Writing.

This guy is incredible! Before turning his attention full-time to writing books in 1993, McDougal reported on the glamorous and occasionally corrupt aspects of Hollywood as a staff writer for 15 years at the Los Angeles Times. As a Times investigative reporter concentrating on movies, television and pop music, McDougal took readers behind the scenes of pop star Michael Jackson's troubled career, beginning with his "Victory" tour in the early 1980s; exposed the waste and mismanagement of Band Aid, USA for Africa, Farm Aid, and other "pop charities" of the 1980s; and followed celebrity courtroom dramas, such as the so-called "Cotton Club" murder trial, which featured former Paramount Pictures chief Robert Evans in a major supporting role. He wrote the true crime classic,
