February 18th -- Mass Deception Doc Bonn
-- Media Expert turned sociologist and crime researcher Dr. Scott Bonn examines how America got into the Iraq war -- a scientific study of how the established concept of "Moral Panic" applies to what happened in the USA after 9/11. Written as a sociology research text, Dr. Bonn's book has found readership among the general public, and what his study reveals is both disturbing and challenging.
Dr. Bonn is a prolific author, researcher and public speaker. He received his doctorate in sociology at the University of Miami, FL. Bonn teaches courses in criminology, sociology of deviance, media and crime, and criminal justice. His primary research interests include white-collar crime, state crime, serial killers and media effects on society. His research examines how and why the public forms its beliefs on complex issues such as crime, drugs, punishment, war and terrorism. Prior to his academic career, Bonn held high-ranking corporate positions such as Vice President at NBC Television Network and Executive Vice President at SonicNet, an award-winning, Internet-based music service that is now part of MTV Networks. He resides in Manhattan, New York.

MARCH 10th -- The Serial Killer Whisperer...the real guy! Here is what our pal Katherine Ramsland wrote about Tony Ciaglia:
"Tony Ciaglia was a normal adolescent boy until an accident changed his life. He sustained a traumatic brain injury to the frontal lobe that dramatically changed his personality. He felt depressed, angry, and confused, and he often hated those he once had loved. Constantly medicated to control his moods, Tony could not filter or inhibit socially inappropriate acts. Then he discovered serial killers. Award-winning writer Pete Earley's recent book, The Serial Killer Whisperer, is quite unique. He met Tony and his family and mapped the difficult experience that made Tony remarkably resonant with some of the meanest men alive. Thus, this compelling narrative revolves around the most salient issue in criminology today: the criminal brain."
