Burl Barer;s first radio co-host on KTEL-AM was Pat Craig back when the two of them were recording the Walla Walla High School Radio Show in Burl's basement in Walla Walla, Washington.
Burl went on to become a rock n roll radio hero, producer of innumerable radio and TV commercials, and now is an Edgar Award winning author and host of True Crime Uncensored on Outlaw Radio USA.
Pat went on to become a rock n roll performer in several top NW and Bay Area bands, including the famed Tazmanian Devils
Pat wrote and produced some really great material for Buddy Miles final LP which remains unreleased (and the stuff of legend). Here is a sample.
While Pat can still rock n roll with the best of them, and frequently returns to the Tazmanian Devils, his fame now is derived from his wildly successful series of niche fiction for adults and children.
In 2011 he signed a three-book deal with Harvest House Publishers to publish his Apple Creek Dreams series. The books are historical Amish fiction and include, A Quilt for Jenna, The Road Home, and The Amish Heiress. Patrick is represented by the Steve Laube Agency. You will notice that Pat today looks sorta like he did in highschool, except a bit more seasoned.
